Rainy Saturdays…

So as I sit here, finally getting my act together on a workable blog, listening to the Dave Mathews Band, I can’t help but be transported somehow to New England. Why? Because a year back I was busily writing my first full length novel, set in New England, listening to this same CD; and the transportation that is taking place is simply amazing! And a little cool.

Outside it is finally raining - rain from the north of Australia has finally made its way down here, but is sadly causing some floods in the state west of me. I’ve just finished listening to three BOL’s, and hence went and had a look at the photos on the Buzz Out Loud Flickr site (here). My favorite (->), kudos to rockinphotog.

Tonight is Karaoke at Urban Summer, and with any luck Tim and Dani will detach themselves from dinner with the parents and come pick me up. But, in the meantime, I have Stargate Atlantis (rockin 3rd season!) and NFL playoff’s to keep me busy.

Not to mention a dozen or so books to read which I am just loving!It’s so nice to be able to read - just read - again. At the moment, I’m in the middle of the second of Robin Hobbs’ ‘Farseer Trilogy‘. It’s a sensational series, and you should seriously check it out (here)!
