Australia Day!
Australian’s all let us rejoice!
And so some of us sung yesterday to celebrate Australia Day. Though, I slept till around midday, read my book and did housework for most of it; not exactly what one would call a rousing holiday. Nonetheless, I was very happy with the work I was able to get done.
Of course, My day acquired some fun when we all headed out in the evening. Noodle Bar (for them) and fish and chips for myself down at Warrandyte’s portion of the Yarra. And, jeans and all, swimming in the yarra. Too much fun to be perfectly honest with you! I spent some of my time redirecting the waterflow, and the rest just swimming around in my jeans which - believe you me - I would prefer not to be drowning
in; very heavy!
From there - via our homes to change out of our wet clothes - we headed to the Mitcham for free coffee’s thanks to our membership cards; Sharon signing up for hers upon arrival. Nothing quite as nice really as a free cappacuino, despite the obvious attempts by the try-hard security guard to make life difficult for everyone. Bah!
Laura kept us unwittingly entertained for the better part of the night, though how she managed to so completely confuse herself is a mystery I think I’ll never understand.
Tonight, to Tim’s house; with his parents gone, the fun shall begin! And with any luck I’ll be able to convince him to take me to Crossways in the morning, so I don’t have to ride my bike all the way down Springy road. For the moment though, I’m returning to my book - unless net net deigns to speak to me… :)
One more thing - and I blame it entirely on Veronica Belmont; should I, or should I not acquire for myself a few more months worth of World of Warcraft. Her continual inability to not rave about it on BOL leaves me hankering to play my level 18 character (Peyton) more and more each day. Though, the outlay of money might seem a little absurd to anyone who doesn’t understand the fantasticalness of playing a community game like WoW. Nevertheless, I am sure that I shall work it out next time I get paid.
Cheerio’s people!
