New Energy Policy?
Now Listening: David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes
Had Megan and Owen around this afternoon to watch the latest episodes of House. Gotta love the new season - it is, absolutely brilliant!!! I loved the episode with the rape victim - I thought that was a really well introduced and executed episode. Definitely one of the best they’ve done!
Looks like I might be back on Tim’s radar as well - considering I’ve received an invite to something tomorrow night with the Baptist for Youth or… something or other! YAY!
Nearly finished Elfsorrow as well. And I’m really going to cry in this I think. The way he’s building it up, I know how it’s going to end - and I know that isn’t going to negate a thing! Nevertheless, he is a singuarly brilliant writer, and I am very thankful that I found him.
Talking of books it turns out that Owen is in love with Night Watch, which I am awesomly stoked about! Gotta love converting people to the Way of Mrs. Cosmopolite.
I will now address the meaning behind my blog title. Tonight, as I was sitting in my chair, there was this weird firework-like crackling sound coming from outside. Within moments dad called me out to look at something. It turns out that it looks like my local council is attempting a trial that I was uanware of. Instead of using electricity to power the street-lights, they had gone for, let’s just say, a more old fashioned approach.
Of course I’m kidding! Shut up you embeciles!
Needless to say, it provided the neighbors and I with plenty of entertainment, especially when the fire-brigade showed up in what could only be called a slight over-reaction.
Of course, whoever called the fire-brigade should have actually called the electricity company, because it seemd that the fire was being fueled by the electricity. How do I know this? Simple. There is nothing else up on a street-light to fuel a fire, and it went out after they called the electricity company. Simple really!
That’s it from me tonight. I’m off to bed. I leave you with a fantastically funny My Extra Life comic. (I hope he doesn’t mind me showing them here - it’s not as if I don’t pimp his site every time I do!)
