Keep walking… but you won’t knock down our wall…

I’ve only realised recently that going to bed when I do - early morning - is not a bad thing. Especially if I keep to some of the traditions that I did during the daylight hours; such as walking. Which is where I’ve been for about 2 and a quarter hours. I walked around the local block, before walking up to Maccas for supper. I was listening to Star Wars: Approaching Storm as I walked, which was great, just being able to listen for like 2 hours without worrying about being elsewhere or doing anything else.

It was a nice change from where I had been earlier, at the Baptisty mission meeting. Listening to a lot of people discuss their views of being called - which seemed like a lesson in the blindingly obvious to me - and to some fellow named Kim follow on with a cross of the stupendously straightforward, and a walk in to the heretical was not my choice of enjoyment for an evening.

The most amusing aspect of the night was the cleche’s and attempts at ‘bonding’ that they initiated. Words like ‘tags’ - a new generational buzz word - sweeping generalisations about mission work, and more, made the whole evening a little frustrating.

As with most things, there was good points, but they were severely outweighed by the bad. Nevertheless, it seemed that Laurz got something from it, which is really all that matters to me. I’m glad she is feeling called, and is seemingly willing to respond to such a call. Many people are scared of such calls, and would rather run like Jonah, instead of asking ‘Here I am Lord, what do you want me to do?” like Samuel.

Moving on to something more amusing, I found this off the WoW site, and I found it very amusing.

Maybe you’ve got to be a WoW fan, but it really is very funny!

I’m off to do some writing. Having finished Elfsorrow earlier tonight - very sad by the way, but a very well written and executed death, pardon the terminology - I can write in peace. I might add a bit more to the ‘Current Writings’ bit sometime.

Cheers,
