Now that’s good preaching!
I rode myself up to Crossway this morning, and had one of the best sermons I’ve had (outside of Belgrave) in all my life. I got to listen to the incomperable Stuart Robinson talk on the subject of women, and do a fine job. No demeaning jokes, no religiously attempted diminishing of women. Just simple, biblical, and well thought out teaching. He was funny, relevant. Courteous and loving (especially towards his wife).
Add on to that the fantastic worship that morning, singing some wonderful songs and really being able to open up in the face of being by myself, and just … ah! And then when they called people down the front, to pray over them asking that God would break through in the different areas of peoples needs, I went forward, along with like half the congregation!!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! That’s a real community church if you ask me.
I’d spent the whole night awake too - reading comics to keep me awake (read Bruce Wayne Murderer and Fugitive). Had a nap in the avo, then went to Mitcham where, it was actually kind of good too! For a change! :) Just got home from maccas, so it’s nice to be in comfortable clothes and away from the blaring lights and noise of reality.
I’m gonna sit down and read some more comics now, let myself relax before sleep. Trying to get myself in to a more daylight orientated sleep pattern now that NZ may be creeping up on me. Keep praying peoples!
Cheers,

I’m glad that the visit to Crossways was good and a real blessing by the sound of it. :-) Stuart is a pretty good preacher, eh?
I’m glad that you’re enjoying both Mitcham and Crossways.
