decline in afl

I’m sitting here watching the Richmond vs. Essendon match from the last round of football, and I’m realizing that there is a reason why I haven’t been watching the game as much. The umpiring decisions being made are, frustratingly, infuriating! And the worst thing? Most of the mistakes aren’t even theirs.

It’s the rules that they the umpires have to abide by. The AFL have screwed the game up the ass, and it’s ruined the game just like it … nm! I’m sick of having to watch a game where the moment you put your hand on someones back, you’re penalized.

I remember the day when you used to be able to almost checkside someone clean across the chest, and run on and kick a goal without any problems from the umpires. Now you can hardly touch anyone. It’s not a contact sport anymore, it’s turning in to soccer. And don’t get me wrong, I love soccer… but, AFL shouldn’t be soccer… meh!
