700 Hoboes

Ok - I want to say this, I come late to the party occasionally… occasionally. But this is really funny and, in all honesty, very creative, and I like creative.

John Hodgman, Mr. “I’m a PC” from the very funny Mac vs. PC ads on TV, is more than just a funny face. He is a comedian at heart, and runs his own website at areasofmyexpertise.com. Awhile ago, he put out a poem of sorts, in which he reads out the names of 700 Hoboes, writen by him of course. Jonathon Coulton plays the backing music, for an hour straight - no interruptions - and it is worth a listen. I’ve got it ready to go on my iPod, and have listened for a bit anyway. Needless to say, the online community soon wanted to ‘draw’ each of the 700 (800 if you include his addendum, including the addition of Nick Nolte a second time), and the webs cartoonists came together.
