Ah the Serenity… not the Firefly class
This post is, in all likelihood, more for my mum than anyone else… so bear with me as I retreat in to a little bit of my storyteller mindset.
I sit here, in my comfy chair, situated in a new corner, with my little blow fan pointed up at me, and the bigger heater emitting a constant but low warmth for the lounge at large. I have a Hazelnut Chai Latte by my side, made with nutmeg, cinnamon and a splash of Vanilla. In my lap is my current favorite book, The World Without Us by Alan Weisman, and it has me enthralled, as well as Megan, who has demanded that I finish it quickly, not only so that she can read it, but so that I can get to her birthday present for me this year. Finally, to cap off a lovely setting, I have on the stereo the sounds of a thunderstorm in the wild.
As Megan reads this now, she is calling me a poofter, but I’m not overly stressed. It’s my night off, and I’m not going to do any writing until after I go for my run in four hours.
Thanks for the book mum. See ya’s all!
