Circadian Rhythm; the what in the who know?

This is just a note for all those who happen to pass through here for the lack of content over the past couple of days. I’ve had a lot of trouble staying awake and with it, and it’s costing me valuable awake hours simply trying to recover. We’ll see if this continues.

Warm Summer Nights

Today’s been one of those first summer days that hits Melbourne with all the warning of a teen pregnancy. It’s been hot and humid all day, with very little air movement to drive away the heat. It’ll be like this for the next few hours, well in to the night and past midnight.
But, for […]

The Stupidity of the Circadian Rhythm

My circadian clock has been seriously out of whack these last few days, and nothing I have done has managed to keep it in check! Hopefully, SG tonight, Doctors Appointment tomorrow early will force me to be awake all night, and
OH MY GOSH! Can’t say just yet what just happened, but YAY! :)
Caught up […]

Lazy Sunday

Here I am, dressed up snug as the preverbal bug, reading all day! I watched Stargate Atlantis most of yesterday, and today I’m reading Obernewtyn, by Isobelle Carmody - Meagz gave it too me. It’s an oddly unique and compelling book, despite primarily (I think) being written for teenagers! Nevertheless, it is a good book, […]

My Writing Life

Some of the more observant amongst you may have noticed the uptick in sites that I now write for. So I thought i’d just lay it out, and …
I still write for Daily Galaxy, Comic Book Movie, Mongabay and Canada Free Press. I’ve also been picked up by GreenOptions and PlanetSave.
For the prayers […]

Baptised… me that is!

Tonight I got baptized properly - or at least properly for me. I won’t go in to a full diatribe about the theological viewpoint of baptism, and whether it should be full emersion or not, but I will say that infant baptism is simply wrong and robs someone the chance to fulfill what the scriptures […]

Ah the Serenity… not the Firefly class

This post is, in all likelihood, more for my mum than anyone else… so bear with me as I retreat in to a little bit of my storyteller mindset.
I sit here, in my comfy chair, situated in a new corner, with my little blow fan pointed up at me, and the bigger heater emitting […]

Aching Muscles

I’m beginning to realize that my muscles aren’t used to a regular run in the morning (or, my evening… whatever)! I’m sitting here on the other side of my run with more articles to write, and my feet hurt… ack!

BABY!

Saw my new little fake-niece today! She’s so gorgeous, and sooo very light!

And I held her today, first time I’ve held a baby since I probably grabbed my little brother around the waist to see how high I could hoist him!

I apparently did very well, no crying, and only a bit of […]

Totally and Utterly Without Motivation

That is the best way to describe my current state… it’s actually a little worrying! I have no desire to do anything but go to bed, and listen to my iPod! Granted, my iPod is slowly filling up with a whole heap of new podcasts, taking the total amount of podcasts that I listen too […]

And the work begins…

As I sit here, listening to the Batman Forever extended soundtrack, I can’t help but be reminded of how blessed (note, blessed, not lucky) to be able to work from home in this fashion, doing something that I love, and that is rewarding.
Also, thanks to Dad and Ben for the KFC I had for my birthday […]

The ‘morrow, the present, and the past

Now is the winter of our discontent

I can really dig Richard III, he seems to have gotten it right on the money… or, to be more in line with my thoughts, Shakespeare seems to have gotten the condition of the human soul right down… or at least, my human soul! Of course, there could be […]

Goodnight…

So, it’s quarter past 2 in the am, and I’m thinking of heading to bed… maybe not, considering that I’ve still got a bit of awake left in me, and I don’t want to go to sleep too early… a good night of WoW, and a nice time with Megan before she was spirited away! […]

Friends… to have or have not…

Coffee with Megan tonight shed some light on what may or may not be a public opinion of me that I had hitherto been unaware of. It was an innocuous comment, possibly said through a haze of thick chocolate and exhaustion, but truthful nonetheless?
Oh, guess what… I know someone with less friends than you!

Funny […]

Sunrise… I should be in bed!
